This weekends Mt. Hood mission has been postponed, due to "substantial showers". Oh well, plenty of shredding to do on the internets.
Summer snowslipping is great. Get off work, school and crack and get down (or up) to Hood (or Whistler). Here is some slope happenings for the summer.
1. Signal Snowboards will be demoing some new shred sticks at Mt. Hood Wednesday June 13 through whenever they feel like going home. Next years line is looking really good. They got some help with graphics from MONSTERPILOT. Check out their site for some sneak peeks.
2. Bonfire will be hosting a Pipe2Pipe at hood June 29th and July 20th. The event consists of a railjam on the snow, and skate jam....not on the snow. The event is open to pros, ams and lumberjacks, and if Josh Sherman likes you, he will bestow you with money, a sponsorship or a flannel shirt.
3. Burton's Abominable Snowjam is July 10-12 at the Hood, and it's a big deal.
4. Eesa is going to ghostride their RV up to Hood sometime this summer, not sure when, I don't think they are either.
5. All summer: schmooze with pros, work on goggle tans, shred with your shirt off to impress the ladies, resent the campers whose parents actually did send their kid to camp after promising to do it (thanks mom).
That's all I can remember, I really don't know what is happening in Whistler (help?). I will try to embellish this list at a later date.
Remember: snowboarding is funner than not snowboarding.
