Alpental Season Open till June 2008

The forecast for next weekend is looking great and we still have tons of snow...SO WE'RE GOING FOR IT! Alpental will once again be extended to allow you turns this Memorial Weekend, Saturday, May 24th, Sunday, May 25th, as well as Monday, May 26th!

What an amazing year to be a lover of snow! With over 591" of snow so far this season, there is more snow predicted for this week! What does that mean for you? A long and excellent spring in the mountains. Already dreaming of what the 2008-2009 season will hold? Be sure to check out next season's Big S Passes today.

Here's what we're planning:

Alpental: (Update!) Open this Memorial Weekend, Saturday, May 24th, Sunday, May 25th, as well as Monday, May 26th! This season is definitely one of the longest Alpental has ever had!

All other base areas are now closed for the season. Thanks for helping us make this the longest season in over 30 years at Summit Central, and the longest season the tubing center has ever had!

A few years ago rail jams were unheard of except for one event: the Red Bull Heavy Metal Rail Jam. The first event was in Niagra Falls, NY and the second one came one year later at in downtown Portland, Oregon. For me and my buddies, we were very excited to see all of our favorite pros attending such a crazy event as a rail jam, where snow was brought in from Mt Hood by the truckload. Numerous big names attended like Marc Frank, Chris Englesman, Travis Parker, TJ Schneider, and Bjorn Leines. I got this really sick photo of Bjorn and decided to make a collage for my photoshop class with him in it. Here it is and enjoy!
